Media Literacy Now is leading the grassroots movement to create a public education system that ensures all students learn the 21st century literacy skills they need for health, well-being, economic participation, and citizenship.
Media Literacy Now was founded in 2013 by Erin McNeill as a response to her growing concern as a parent about the messages her children were receiving through cartoons and advertisements. What started out as an individual grassroots initiative turned into a national movement to get media literacy education into more classrooms around the country.
