This activity allows students to conduct an open web search in which they research specified scientific topics. Successful students will look beyond the surface features of the site and detect its agenda from content on the website or from leaving the site to search for reliable information about the organization. Topics include carbon dioxide, climate change, and COVID-19. A student assessment and rubric are provided for each topic.
